**2020 Canadian Police Curling Championship** (Updated 03/18/2020)

** NEW **

Hello,

First of all we would like to sincerely thank all our sponsors, business donors, volunteers and curling community for your previously pledged support and contributions to the Canadian Police Curling Championship that was set for April 17th, 2020.  We were so close, and things were certainly shaping up for an incredible event!

I am sure most have assumed, and correctly so that we regret to advise you that at this time the National will not be taking place as originally planned.

As we have seen over the last couple of days, the situation with Covid-19 has the ability to change on an hourly basis, making most plans for the immediate future extremely difficult.  We ask for your continued patience and understanding, as we sort through what this means for our National Police Curling Championship going forward.

We have a lot to work through and discuss, and of course we all face the unknown at this point in regards to the ability to possibly reschedule and host the championship in the fall. Should that occur, we would be thrilled to continue our partnerships with you.

We will continue to keep you informed going forward. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

In the meantime, please be safe.

Sincere Regards,

Canadian Police Curling Championship Host Committee 2020

A Message from our President.

The OPCA and the Toronto 2020 organizing committee have been working hard in finalizing plans for the this years National Championship.
The event is running from April 18 – 25, 2020.  The championship will be at Tam Heather Curling Club.
The club is publicly operated club which has a great relationship with Police Curling in Ontario. The Toronto Police Curling League has been running out of this club for nearly 20 years!
Tam Heather is located in the east end of Toronto, which is commonly referred to as Scarborough. It has 8 sheets of ice, which provides enough ice availability to run the event. The club also has an in-house kitchen which is capable of providing meals for event participants. The proximity of the club to the airport and venues throughout the GTA also makes Tam Heather a great choice for hosting the Championships.

The host hotel has been confirmed as the Delta Hotel Toronto East, 2035 Kennedy Rd, Toronto.  https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/yyzsb-delta-hotels-toronto-east/   It is located only about 10 minutes away from the club and has excellent amenities to serve every guest.

We are always looking for sponsors for the event and would love to have anyone you know provide sponsorship for the event. Please contact us on how to get involved.  Also, please contact us to find out about exciting volunteer opportunities as we are finalizing those details as well.   You can contact me at opcapres@icloud.com
