Welcome to Timmins, Ontario. We are proud to be hosting the 2010 Canadian Police Curling Championships and hope to show off the warm hospitality of Timmins and Northern Ontario. Below you will see the many  sites and  activities you will find while in our community.  Timmins is proud to be the home of Shania Twain and the Shania Twain Centre.  The Centre opened in 2001 and hosts many exhibits of unique memorabilia, awards and wardrobe.  For further information please follow this Shania Twain Centre Link. Timmins origins go back to 1809 when gold was found and the Hollinger Gold Mine was founded. There is an underground mine tour and further information can be found by following this link. The beautiful nature of the area can be seen in the changing of the seasons.
